Oh, God, I love this show so much! No-one does physical comedy better than Michael Crawford and I think Frank Spencer has to be one of the most tireless characters I've ever come across.
I'm Blanche Devereaux and I know it isn't pertinent at the moment, but... I'm double-jointed.

This is a great show :lmao: Probably one I wouldn't buy on DVD, but great to see in repeats every now and again. Some of the things Frank got up to was HILARIOUS. I always remember the one where he and several people at a bus stop got glued to the chair he made in woodwork class. They went to the hospital where all kinds of chaos ensued :rotfl: The one where he's on roller skates also is a classic - and he did all his own stunts. Top man

Last night I watched Some Mothers Do 'Ave 'Em The Hospital Visit series 1 episode

Last night I took a break from my other DVDs I have been watching night after night Bewitched & The golden girls

Betty is ill in hospital and Frank intends visiting her. He stops off at the greengrocer's to buy her some fruit. After much confusion with money, the shop assistant gives Frank the fruit free of charge in order to get rid of him, although he manages to cause an avalanche of oranges before he finally leaves the shop.
Returning home, Frank finds the back door is stuck and has to climb in through the window. Magically, the back door finally opens and hits Frank's head, as he is crouching by the side of it! Frank then cooks his dinner - pudding. Even Frank gets this wrong and makes it explode, bringing down most of the kitchen shelves with it. :lmao:
At the hospital, Frank manages to spill some fruit squash on Betty's bedspread. He tries to swap this with another one in the same ward, but is mistaken by a doctor as the uncaring husband of another woman patient who has not been visited for many weeks. The doctor gives Frank a stern talking to and crossly tells him to take "his" wife home and care for her there. Frank returns that evening to find that all the other women on the ward have also decided to go home. He puts them all on a hospital bed to wheel them out but gets lost in the maze of hospital passages. On a sloping corridor, the bed goes out of control, catapulting him down a chute and into an ambulance whereupon is he admitted to the hospital as a patient! :lmao:

Last night I watched Some Mothers Do 'Ave 'Em George's House series 1 episode

another good episode i enjoyed this one

Frank and Betty have moved out of Betty's mother's house and are now staying with Betty's brother, George. George is a very futuristic designer who has filled his house with weird remote-control gadgetry. They are expecting an important visit from Mr Fletcher, the head of a large building firm, who is interested in a demonstration of the mechanical devices in the house, so Frank is on his best behavior Whilst trying to use the mechanical toilet, Frank accidentally breaks the flushing mechanism. As you'd imagine, his attempts to repair this soon lead to the toilet brush, a ballcock and his slippers becoming wedged in the pan. By now water from the leaking cistern is seeping through the house and finding its way down to the control room in the cellar, where as you'd guess electrical controls are! The others attempt to prevent Mr Fletcher noticing the various mounting problems, but Frank is already at work trying to repair things. His efforts cause a major short circuit of the house's systems - Mr Fletcher becomes trapped in an automatic chair and Betty's sister-in-law is jammed in an electric window. Mr Fletcher storms out of the house refusing to sign a contract for the technology. Another triumph for Frank!

Betty: You're not putting my frank in the cellar!" :lmao:

Last night I watched Some Mothers Do 'Ave 'Em King of the Road series 3 episode

King of the Road
Frank has a new job as a motorbike dispatch rider. He has to take a motorbike test. The examiner tells him to drive around the block and stop when he gets the signal. Frank takes a wrong turning and the examiner steps out in front of the wrong motorcycle. He ends up in hospital, while Frank rides around for hours looking for him. Frank's new boss tells him to collect a parcel from one address and deliver it to another. The parcel contains pornographic photographs and the police have been tipped off. The delivery firm's office is raided. Frank's motorbike goes out of control and he begins a nightmare ride through the streets and around the countryside. He ends up back at the delivery firm's office and crashes through the window. Frank is arrested and has to appear in court. He brings along a string of character witnesses and is found not guilty. Cycling home, he encounters the magistrate and causes his car to crash.
