So, is anyone else going to see this? I was afraid that maybe my town wouldn't get this, but I've seen posters for it already so it is definitely getting a release here. Not only that, but just a few hours ago there was a commercial for the movie where they said that there is a pre-screening of the movie that you can get two tickets for by showing up a piece of paper that you print out & show it to your local theatre. Said and done, I now have two tickets for the pre-screening in my town! :woohoo:

I've never seen Betty White on the big screen before, this may be my last chance so I'm really excited about this! Also, I love Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds is hands down one of the funniest guys in Hollywood right now.

I definitely intend to go see this in the cinema when it gets a UK release.
I'm Blanche Devereaux and I know it isn't pertinent at the moment, but... I'm double-jointed.

The Proposal isn't my kind of movie. I hate those "let's pretend we're together, but we really hate eachother until we kiss and then we realise we love eachother so much and want to get married" stories. But, because Betty White is in it then I'll make an exception and will probably rent it out when it's available. I think Ryan Reynolds is cute and I now remember where I know him from - the sitcom called Two Guys, Girls and a Pizza Place or something like that :lmao: And, after seeing this hilarious mock interview video I'm actually looking forward to it

Same here- I'm not a big fan of these type of films but I will rent it when it's released.

I won't lie - Betty is the only reason I will watch this movie.

I should probably find out what the movie is actually about.

I just got home from seeing this at the preview-screening and I'm elling you guys, SEE THIS FILM!!! Betty White is in it A LOT more than you'd think. She's the character we see the most of after Bullock & Reynolds. Also, Betty White COMPLETELY steals every scene she's in. She's hilarious throughout the whole film, the whole crowd (which was full) seemed to agree, she generated the most laughs.

This movie was even better than I expected, much thanks to Betty White. See this film people, you won't regret it!

:rotfl: This is great! First it was a channel giving out tickets for a pre-screening, now I got an email from our movie theater company in Sweden that will have a sneak peek of the movie next week, since I'm a gold customer I can get my tickets one day earlier. Guess who's going to see this film once again?

The Proposal took $34 million at the U.S. box office this weekend, putting it at number 1. Not a bad start for a movie with a $40 million budget.

Really, it only cost that much? That's great, and kind of a comeback for Sandra who has truggled for a few years (otherwise the budget wouldn't be 40 million as she would get about 20 like she got when she was in her prime). And great that Ryan Reynolds has a hit, the man has been hilarious for YEARS but never been in a commercial vehicle like this, good on him

The movie was funny & excellent. Betty White was funny in the movie. The good news it was the #1 movie last weekend. I saw that movie in St. Simons Island, GA.

It isn't released in the UK until July 22nd (tomorrow). No immediate plans to see it.
