After the start of what could have been a very lengthy discussion on someone else's thread I decided to start one on it!

Anyway, I went looking for stuff on Dinenrladies (I was also looking for the theme tune but that's irrelevant t what I'm saying!) and I found this link, its quite interesting so if you're a fan or just feel like being nosey, take a look:

I know the site itself isn't much to look at but once you get past the total lack of colour its interesting!!!

The pics are from the book apparently

Thanks for posting that link, Paul! Yeah, those are just a few photos from the book.

I'm surprised there aren't more fansites about Dinnerladies out there!

Me too!
BTW, I had an e-mail earlier - card declined!! :o So now I have to plead with my mom but the only trouble is I don't think I can afford it, I was paid 1-2 weeks ago and I think I've spent half at least!

P.S I have just finished watching "Nightshift", I really do fin this one funny! I mean 'Nicola Bodeux' " Nicola Bodeux, B-O-D-E-U-X" -that bit always cracks me up for some reason.

Thanks for sharing the link Paul. It's, erm, a good site. I say erm, because it's almost impossible to navigate on,lol
I always used to Love Victoria Wood, and thought Dinnerladies was a great sitcom, it's just a shame they made so few episodes! I see from Digiguide that BBC2 is showing them on Friday nights again.

Oh are they?
I should really check these things more often. Infact, I havem't watched friday night TV for ages, appart from last week I've either been on holiday or working!
Last week I watched "Don't Drop The Coffin" - definately not a job I would go into!

I know the site is difficult to navigate! OMG! and a bit of colour never hurt anyone did it?! lol

LOL! Yeah can't imagine a worse job!

But yeah, they're starting with Series Two this Friday, and you have inspired me to record them :blanche:

That's good!! It is a really good sitcom. I wish they'd bring the rest of them out on video, I'd like the set to be honest. :dorothy:

oh was it only series one they released? With only 16 episodes total I'd have thought they'd release the whole lot! That's a shame then.

Ah well, at least BBC2 is showing them. I'll be glad to record from them actually, no advertising logo crap to spoil the pic on the BBC channels (yet!) :)

I thought they'd have realised them all too! But they didn't! :furious:

That's one consolation I suppose! And at least they're not on at the same time as midsummer murders!!

They're starting putting BBC TWO in the top corner of their overnight programmes, and I think they already do it on BBC3 and BBC4 (or at least they did at some point). I know News 24 has a logo in the corner too.

Which one is catering? Is it the one with the ladders that are stuck and Glenda the bread woman needs to pee? (or is that another one?! :lmao: )

What's your favourite quote from Dinnerladies??

I always like it when Petula tells a story about a party, being with a celebrity 'friend' and whatever and she goes:
Petula: Do you remeber Bren??
Bren: No?
Petula: Oh no, you weren't there!

AND

Petula: I'm a bad mother, has she told you what a bad mother I am?
Tony (or whoever, she has told this more than once): No
Petula: Put her in an orphanige and lost the address!!

BTW, what happened in last night's episode?
I read the thing in the TV guide but I couldn't figure it out from that! I was working and missed it :(

I vaguely remember Jean's husband leaving her and running off with a dentist or something... and Anita's still all dewy-eyed over Pedr, but other than that, nothing!
